Providing services to the whole Orange community, the new health and wellbeing centre for the Orange Aboriginal Medical Service (OAMS) brings a number of beneficial facilities to the area. Providing tailored activity, exercise and nutrition programs, the centre is specifically designed for people with disabilities, the frail and aged and those recovering from medical conditions. Free to use and offering transport to the centre, this is an invaluable resource for Orange.
Broken up into three main sections, the building contains a cardio and resistance area, Special Training Room with specialist exercise beds for those with mobility issues and the reception area which includes showers and a consultation room.
The project was of steel frame construction with a colorbond roof and clad in Darwin Stringybark.
