1502m2
Renascent was engaged by Swift Storage to build their Bundamba facility which comprised three buildings constructed with tilt-panels and lightweight steel frames, to create varying storage unit sizes.
This was a landmark project for the Queensland team, as it was the first self-storage facility delivered.
Constructed with tilt panels, the units were cast on-site on the previously poured concrete slabs and casting beds. This approach maximised build-efficiency and speed, with all panels erected in one day.
A feature of the design was for the units to be touchless and automated, providing fast and efficient access for customers.
Weekly status updates were provided to the client which ensured they were fully briefed throughout the project.
Renascent successfully restructured the program of delivery to include long lead times for critical items, such as SPEL stormwater management, to ensure delivery times weren’t critically affected.
The client was pleased with solutions provided by the team in relation to security access and wet weather management.
With a gross floor area of 1502m2 on a 2850m2 site, the team delivered a successful result, and look forward to more self-storage facility builds in 2023 and beyond.
