The refurbishment of 65 Pirrama in Pyrmont NSW has transformed the building’s front entry, lobby and façade into a modern and elegant space.
The 6-storey A-Grade commercial building boasts harbour views and needed a communal space to match this level of prestige. With the full-height, back-lit white onyx wall a standout feature, and an upgraded café and state-of-the-art end-of-trip facilities, we were able to deliver on this vision.
The works were undertaken in a high-traffic live environment, so with noise and dust important factors, a significant amounts of the work was undertaken outside of normal operating hours.
Taking a consultative approach, the team worked closely with Gray Puksand and TTW to undertake necessary redesigns of bathroom layouts. Through collaboration the redesign ensured the structural integrity of the required slabs were not compromised whilst still providing an open space that met the original design intent.
The building also housed an existing 14m Sculpture with sensitive Moral Rights. Renascent worked with the artist to carefully disassemble the sculpture and construct a bespoke transportation system for safe removal from its location and transportation to its new home.
