It was wonderful to be recognised for this significant piece of work delivered in one of Sydney’s premium CBD addresses, Chifley Tower.
Taking place across nine floors of high-end office space, the scope of works required excellence in all aspects of delivery, while working to tight timeframes and within a live environment.
Working alongside Cerno, Charter Hall and Cox Architects the project featured an opulent, art-deco vision, that included bespoke marbling and Japanese imported tiling, as well as the integration of the latest amenity technologies.
The works were significant with over 93,000kg of fabricated stone transported via the goods lift, 405 tonnes of waste removed and the whole project required a total of 65,000 hours. Along with this, an incredible 90% of the waste was also recycled.
The extensive works included:
· Four levels of make good
· 18 bathrooms
· Six lift lobbies
· Mechanical plantroom upgrade
· Stair slab extension.
The installation of an ecosystem of intelligent products enables the building management to monitor water use in real-time and make smarter decisions to reduce maintenance costs, whilst improving hygiene and uptime.
Nick Mavraidis, General Manager Sydney, said ‘Thank you to Charter Hall and Cerno Management for entrusting us with this outstanding opportunity. We knew at the time of tender this project had the potential to be an MBA Award-winning project and we are proud to see this vision realised. Renascent delivers premium fitout and refurbishment works in A-grade assets across the country and we feel this award demonstrates our capacity to deliver these works with excellence.’
Congratulations to the team that produced such outstanding results while operating within the constraints of COVID-19 restrictions and a tight delivery schedule.
