We recently had the pleasure of welcoming St Marys Cathedral College (SMCC) Year 11 (Year 12 2025) students to our site for an engaging visit of their future campus at William St.
Redevelopment of the historically significant building at 52-58 William Street include change of use to education, replacement of essential building services to meet current standards, heritage façade upgrades, and new landscaped structures to provide external learning spaces for students.
The day began with an informative presentation by Tom and Dom, a former SMCC Alumni, about our current project, followed by an insightful site tour. Students walked through multiple levels with varying aspects of the project stages, gaining valuable insights into the construction process and the diverse career opportunities available in construction.
Challenging aspects of the project were discussed, including construction adjacent to an historic underground asset requiring Sydney Water approvals, community consultation and maintaining strong relationships with residents and businesses and delivering the project within a live environment.
It’s always rewarding to see students eager to learn and explore future possibilities within the industry!
Thank you to SMCC and everyone who made this visit a success.
